Pigeon Times

Somehow we have made decisions that now have us watching a pair of pigeons incubating two eggs in our light well.  I was lured in by the interest of watching life and how I had all the tools to observe and document this secluded event.  Even with my great displeasure of these flying pests, the interest of web tech and seeing life as it is, took over my basic sense of don't make it easy for there birds.  But it is an intimate thing.  They are outside but they are inside with sounds of their presence.  And now are like a curiosity and almost pet like, even though they are wild creatures.  After reading  about their life cycle and habits and especially the habit of laying two more eggs while there are fledglings in the next.  A snow ball's growth, that we didn't intend.  Totally stuck with a dilemma.

Mating - Breeding Habits

Pairs are monogamous, often breeding in consecutive seasons for as long as both birds of a pair live.
